У статті здійснюється аналіз концептуалізації прикордоння крізь призму ключових підходів міждисциплінарного конструювання відповідного поняття в умовах соціокультурних реалій сьогодення. Основні твердження статті розкривають феномен прикордоння в часовому, геополітичному та геокультурному вимірах. Наголошується, що в обставинах посттериторіального світу відбувається глибинна трансформація смислу поняття кордону, який все важче піддається територіальним визначенням, стає все менш фізично видимим та водночас більш складним і прозорим. Робиться висновок, що перетинання в межах одного соціального простору різних соціальних контекстів, трансформація функціонального навантаження концепту прикордоння зумовлюють необхідність звернення саме до соціокультурного підходу до аналізу відповідного феномену.

The article writer undertakes to analyze the borderland conceptualization through the lens of key approaches to the cross-disciplinary formation of the corresponding concept within the today’s socio-cultural realities. The main statements of the article reveal the borderland phenomenon in the time-like, the geopolitical and geo-cultural dimensions. It is noted that in the context of the post-territorial world we can observe a deep transformation in relation to the meaning of border concept, which is rather difficult covered by the territorial definition, becomes less physically visible and more complex and transparent at the same time. The author has come to conclusion that the intersection of the different social contexts within the same social space as well as transformation of the functional yield of the borderland concept generates a need for appeal to the socio-cultural approach in analyzing the relevant phenomenon.
